Am I not important in your life?
Do I not matter?
Why don’t you respond when I talk to you?
Do I not listen when you want me to?
How come your friends get to hang out with you more than I can?
When will I get half the attention that you give your family?
What keeps you at work when you could be talking to me?
Am I less important than that movie?
Or that road trip?
Or the admiration of one of your peers?
Do you not know how much I love you?
Don’t you know how much it hurts when your love stays on your lips?
Or when you do not acknowledge me in front of others?
How much more do I need to scream to get your attention?
How many more times will my heart need to ache?
But does any of this matter to me?
Or will it stop me from loving you?
Do I ever let go of your hand?
Why would I when I gave you my all?
And you think you know what heart break is?
My son…you have no idea!
What has the Lord not done for you?
Is there any area of life that He has not touched?
Doesn’t He know every thought that goes through your mind?
Think of all the wonderful gifts He has bestowed on you,
Gifts and blessings without number
Remember the greatest sacrifice He made for you,
That of giving up His beloved Son to suffer pain and die on the Cross,
To grant us salvation and eternal life.
What about forgiving our iniquities and forgetting them too!
What worth He has given us to hold our heads high and live.
Daily loading us with benefits and protecting us with His strong shield
Counselling us with heavenly wisdom and directing us through unknown paths.
Shepherding us through valleys and mountains,
Guarding us from the evil one and being a strong anchor in the tempests of life.
Preparing us for eternity and perfecting our character.
Volumes could be written about His provision, love and care!!
BUT, just ask yourselves—What are you giving Him instead?
Are you reciprocating all His love and concern for you?
Is it a one way traffic in which only He has to fulfill His promises?
Do you take time to listen to His sweet voice and talk to Him calmly?
Or is it just a long list of never ending wants and desires of your own?
Are you just using Him as a heavenly vending machine?
Don’t you like it when others thank you for your help to them?
Or someone does a kind deed in return for yours?
Or praise you for an achievement or for a helping hand?
How disappointed you feel when those who you have helped just forget you,
Or ignore you or even act against you!
If you expect at least an ounce of reciprocation for your worldly deeds,
How much more will our heavenly Father be delighted?
When we thank Him wholeheartedly, remember His countless mercies,
And live according to His will and spread His Word all around,
Deliver those lost in the world of darkness and Bring more souls to His kingdom?
It doesn’t take any effort to give at least a small share back
To the One Who gave HIS All for you and me,
To the One Who is the reason why we are alive and live,
To the One Who is waiting for us to be perfect day by day,
So that He can come back and take us to be with Him forever!!
Remember—Reciprocate God’s Love!!

What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? [How can I repay Him for all His bountiful dealings?]
I will lift up the cup of salvation and deliverance and call on the name of the Lord.
I will pay my vows to the Lord, yes, in the presence of all His people.
– Psalm 116:12-14
…because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
We all owe our every breath of life to God our Creator and Sustainer. Our safe existence and well-being depends on God our Protector. In this world of affluence and materialism, most people leave God in the background and rely on their own power and riches. They are complacent about their spirituality and carry on life with the motto, “eat, drink and be merry”, as if it is forever on this earth with its transient pleasures. In the midst of all this it is saddening to think that those who knew God, were saved, baptized in water and the Spirit, suddenly get sucked into a vortex of worldly living and passions and do not live a godly life. They do not ascribe glory to God for their achievements. They yield their thoughts only to the present and neglect preparation for the life hereafter.
God has given man a choice of his own – a free will. Even if He is a God of grace, He waits to see if there is a comeback. If no signs of such, He lets them go like a ship without a rudder.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
They forget the God of their salvation, move around with those who do not follow Him and worship Him in spirit and truth. Is this the legacy they will leave their children? If we repent and come back like the Prodigal son, He is waiting to enfold you in His arms. Let them heed God’s commandment.
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgement of God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”:eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,
