Dinner Time With Jesus

Today, life is all about doing things as quickly as possible. Nobody has ‘time’ to relax and enjoy the finer details of life. We just want to get started with doing something and finish it, at lightning speed if possible. The sad part about this is that we tend to repeat this same attitude even in our relationships with people and with our heavenly Father. We seem to have very little or no time to sit in His presence and talk to Him.

Is your prayer time a rush-to-the-finish-line kind of prayer? Do you feel a sudden surge in the level of relief when you finally wrap up your prayers with “… in Jesus name! Amen…”, just to advance on to your next most important activity? Do you set aside your priorities to spend time with Him?

Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

God doesn’t want to come into your life, your house, your family, your job, your future, just for a momentary chat. He says in His word that He wants to dine with us. He wants to have a good long relaxed conversation with His child and not a “Hi… bye!” encounter. While the world may celebrate speed, God invites us to hit the brakes, slow down and bask in His presence for a spiritual feast. He yearns for an everlasting fellowship with His children. Make sure you make enough time everyday to dine with your Father in heaven.

Redeem The Time

Redeeming The Time

Time is a precious gift from God

To be used wisely and effectively

Not to be wasted, neglected and manipulated

For time and tide wait for none

Time once gone can never be retrieved

Think and ponder over your use of time

How much time do we spend for God?

Do we reciprocate the time He spends for us?

Caring for and protecting us and catering

To all our needs and wishes?

Count the hours spent in frivolous matters

In wordly things without meaning,

In running around for wordly pleasures,

Building sandcastles in the air

About our future plans, homes and possessions,

In gossiping and passing judgment on others

Can we turn back the hands of Time

And restore the hours neglected?

Will we ever get answers to the times we said,

“If only— I did this or that!”

Time is short, it is gaining tremendous pace

Days, months and years are fleeting by

We can’t control it or hold it back

For God is the Master of all Time from eternity to eternity.

We don’t have time to waste

It’s time to act, speak and do work for the Lord

For His coming will be in the twinkling of an eye

There won’t be time to obey His commands – that we didn’t obey,

To accept His offer of salvation and eternal life- that we rejected time and again,

To share the gospel to others – that we felt shy about,

To meditate on His word and commune with Him – that we postponed,

To listen to the voice of the Spirit – that we grieved

Oh! Rise from your slumber, be awake!

Redeem the time because the days are evil.

Listen to the call of your Master today.

NOW  is the day of salvation.

Give Him your best and choicest time.

Every minute counts…

Eternity is awaiting us…

Wonderful times with our Lord and Saviour.

…“Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. – Ephesians 5 : 14 – 16
